I’m From Honey Mask: Review

I remember seeing this I’m From Honey Mask in a magazine a year ago but was currently working on a few honey ones so I skipped grabbing it. I finally grabbed it and I’m so glad I did. Details per Memebox:

A sweet salve for your skin, this premium mask is dripping with 38.7% Honey from Mt. Jiri, a village in Korea famed for its abundant wild herbs. The Jiri bees harvest these nutrient-packed herbs, then transfer the potent properties into the Honey as well. In addition to the natural humectant and antimicrobial Honey, the mess-free mask also features other buzz-worthy elements like the antibacterial Propolis and skin-plumping Bee Venom. The result is brighter, moisturized, and firmed skin that’s pampered and protected from the harsh environment. Plus the soft, thick texture of the mask lends a smooth application and luxe experience for all skin types, even sensitive skin.

I’ve talked about honey, Manuka in particular, and why it beneficial for your skin. See that post here.  I was making a homemade honey mask for a while, but it used to get so messy, it would melt off my face and just drip everywhere. I then tried both Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey Mask and Fresh Creme Ancienne Ultimate Nourishing Honey Mask. I like the Antipodes but it’s really more creamy based so I use it as more of a creamy moisture mask. It’s not a high concentration of honey mask. The Fresh Creme Ancienne is amazing, it has a honey feel and look as it has a higher honey content. It also more moisture and is thicker than the homemade version. Plus it doesn’t melt off my face like my homemade mask did and the no mess is much appreciated. The main downfall to the Fresh Creme Ancienne mask, besides price, is it has harsh honey scrub particles in it which I have come to not like.

This I’m From Honey Mask has a very similar texture and feel to the Fresh mask. For a fraction of the cost and without those harsh scrub particles. Yay.  It’s smooth, hydrating, anti-bacterial and moisturizing from the sugars in the honey. This mask has 38.7% raw Manuka honey. I use this around break out times every month, who doesn’t get those weeks. I find honey helps immensely with acne and break outs in a gentle fashion versus peroxides and harsher acne fighters. This is quite literally my perfect version of a honey mask. As long as it’s never discontinued and I don’t find anything better, this will be my hero honey mask.
